Safety & Security Inspections
Once you create an account and list your property details, a GuestGuard-certified home inspector will visit your property and use an inspection rubric purpose-built for vacation rentals. If your property meets the minimum safety standards, it'll be listed on our platform for guests to view safety information prior to booking with an AirBNB or similar site. Use our solution to elevate your property's performance in a competitive market.
Training Environment
We have training content to make sure you have all the tools you need to create a safe & enjoyable vacation experience for guests. We'll teach you how to deal with the unexpected, protect your home against damage from guests, and keep your property up to standards as guests come and go.
Ongoing Support
If we pick up anything in the inspection that could improve your score, we'll tell you how to fix it. Our platform lets hosts self-report any remediation tasks and creates a shopping cart so you can easily purchase the safety equipment you need (such as fire extinguishers or evacuation placards) for your home.
OUR HOST PORTAL
All GuestGuard-registered hosts will have access to a portal showing all of their associated properties, their inspection status, safety score, and any outstanding tasks they need to complete. We also notify you for upcoming inspections, any communications from our inspectors, and any direct guest feedback for your properties.
HOW TO HOST ON GUESTGUARD
Step 1: Getting Started
Start by creating an account with GuestGuard. We’ll need some key information from you (name, address, property details) to get you set up in our system. We’ll also provide our complimentary training guide to prepare you for what to expect for our safety & security inspections. The training is free, easy to use, and will set you up for success with our platform.
Step 2: The Inspection
Once you’re set up in our system, we’ll coordinate with you to have your first GuestGuard inspection. Our inspections are trained to evaluate short-term rentals, looking at everything from fire safety, guest security, and quality of amenities. We’ll share our inspection findings after, along with items to improve your safety score.
Step 3: Attracting New Guests
Once you’ve had your safety inspection, your property will be available for all guests in the GuestGuard universe to see. Showcase your property’s safety & security score so guests can see your quality over your peers in a crowded market. Once a guest views your property, they will have a quick and easy way to view that property on AirBNB, VRBO, or another site to book a vacation with you.
